Colour analysis is a process used to determine the colours that harmonise best with your natural features, such as your skin tone, eye colour, and hair shade. These ideal colours are grouped into four seasonal palettes: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Each season has its own unique range of shades that enhance your natural beauty, making you look vibrant, radiant, and more confident.

 

As a hairdresser with 24 years of experience, I’ve always been passionate about finding the perfect hair colour for my clients. What shades make their eyes sparkle? What tones highlight their best features or even make them look younger? These questions have always driven me to create the best results.

But my journey to mastering colour didn’t stop there. After having my own colours analysed, I experienced a transformation. Shopping, which had once felt overwhelming and stressful, became easy. Knowing exactly which colours suited me meant I could bypass 75% of the store, saving time and frustration. My confidence soared, and I started receiving endless compliments. Even on days without makeup, I felt put together and radiant.

This revelation inspired me to train in colour analysis, so I could help others experience this same confidence boost. Now, I bring this expertise to Arena, offering Arena clients not only the perfect hair colour but also the knowledge to enhance their overall style.

What to Wear to Your Colour Analysis Appointment

To ensure we get the most accurate results during your session, please:

  • Remove all jewellery
  • Tie your hair back
  • Wear a lightweight t-shirt, preferably with a  v-neck
  • Arrive with no makeup

What to bring with you..
  • 3 photos of yourself where you felt most confident
  • 3 photos of yourself where you did not feel so confident

 

What is our availability?

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, every other Wednesday, every other Friday and limited Saturdays

Sessions will be booked in 90 minute slots:

  • 9.15am
  • 10.45am
  • 12.15pm
  • 1.45pm
  • Sessions need to be done during daylight hours, during winter,  slots will be limited to only 4 available per day

Your session is designed to be thorough and enjoyable. Here’s what we’ll cover:

  • A discussion about the benefits of colour analysis
  • A chat about your current wardrobe and colour choices
  • Identifying any areas you feel self-conscious about
  • Reviewing your current hair and makeup style
  • Determining your seasonal colour palette by draping fabrics to see what suits you best
  • An in-depth conversation about your seasonal palette and how to make it work for you
  • Optional photos with your permission to capture your transformation
  • Personalised advice on next steps for colour, styling, hair, and makeup

 

Where Will Your Colour Analysis Session Take Place?

Your session will take place at Arena, located at 52 Ebrington Street.
We have a private room within our salon for the consultation, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing environment. However, as natural light is essential for accurate analysis, we may need to step onto the salon floor if daylight quality requires it. Once the analysis is complete, we’ll return to the private room to conclude your session and discuss your personalised recommendations.

At Arena Creative Hair, we offer two tailored Colour Analysis sessions to suit your needs:

  1. 90-Minute In-Depth Colour Session
    Dive straight into discovering the colours that complement your natural tones. This focused session is all about identifying your ideal palette, giving you clarity and confidence in choosing the shades that work best for you.

  2. 120-Minute Colour Analysis Plus
    This extended session includes the full Colour Analysis experience, plus an exciting addition! Bring your makeup bag along, and our analyst will review your products, identifying which shades align with your palette. You’ll also enjoy a mini makeover, seeing your best colours come to life.
